A Letter from Sully

Dear CCE Families,

My name is Sully. I am a certified assistance dog who has been trained to work with people with disabilities and as a professional therapy dog. Mrs. Shaull and I trained together to become a Certified Assistance Dog Team. I am excited to start working at CCE this school year as a professional school therapy dog! I can hardly wait to meet all of the kids!

Outside of school I live with Lindsey, Travis, Chloe, and Jack Shaull. I am excited to have a forever home! If you have any questions about me you can contact Mrs. Shaull. I can’t wait to get started!

Love, Sully

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pet Sully?

Of course! I love to be petted and its my favorite part of my job! However, please ask my handler first because I might be finishing a job or following a command. The CCE rule is no petting me while you’re walking in the hallway.

Can I give Sully a command?

If everyone gave me commands, I would become a very confused dog! Please only use the “no lick” or “no sniff” command if you need it. My handler will give me any other command.

Will Sully come to CCE every day?

Yes! I can’t wait to get started working at CCE and getting to know all of the kids!

How did Sully become certified?

I started out living with my breeder where she trained me. She knew I was a special dog, so when I was done working there, I was donated to C.A.R.E.S. to receive more specialized training. Mrs. Shaull and her daughter Chloe came to Concordia, KS to meet me and be trained as well. We had to pass a public access test before we could become a certified team.
