Welcome Letter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Clipper Early Childhood Academy! We are thrilled to have you and your child join our inaugural class and be part of this exciting journey. Our academy is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child can thrive, learn, and grow.

At Clipper Early Childhood Academy, we believe that the early years are crucial for a child's development. Our experienced and passionate educators are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging space that fosters curiosity and a love for learning. We utilize a play-based curriculum that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking, ensuring that each child receives a well-rounded and enriching educational experience.

We understand the importance of family involvement in a child's education, and we are committed to building strong partnerships with our parents. We encourage open communication and welcome your input and feedback. Throughout the year, we will provide various opportunities for you to engage with our school community, including Personalized Learning Plans conferences, celebration, and volunteer opportunities. Your active participation will enhance your child's learning experience and help us create a supportive and collaborative environment.

We are excited to embark on this journey with you and your child. Together, we will create a foundation for lifelong learning and success. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's early education. We look forward to a wonderful year ahead!

Warm regards,
Ben Macumber

Transportation

Parents can select if they want school transportation during the registration process. Students have the option for bus transportation to and from designated neighborhood stops, homes and, to the best of our ability, to currently licensed daycares operating within our district. Per state requirements, CCA schools are not permitted to bus outside of our school boundaries. Bus stops and routes will be determined in late summer after the bulk of all student registrations are complete.

Preschool Assessment

Clear Creek Amana will continue to use Teaching Strategies Gold to support children’s academic as well as social emotional development.  Gold assessment is an authentic part of instruction, not a disruption.  Embedded in everyday interactions with children in the classroom.  This type of formative assessment is an effortless, organic part of the teachers’ day.  Gold captures, organizes, and stores notes, videos and digitals samples of student work in the moment to make observations authentic, objective and easy to remember.

Information collected in Teaching Strategies Gold is 100% confidential and will be shared out with families through PLPs as well as email and other conferences.  There are 3 check-points throughout the year:  October 30, 2024, December 18, 2024, and May 8, 2025.  Families will also have opportunities to share specific student strengths and interests.  Input, along with Gold data will help teachers develop just the right activities to meet the needs of the students.
